Luckily for you, 15 years ago, I was in your exact shoes before I figured out the ultimate solution.
I was working as a personal trainer, and I was working out on my own, doing your typical split routine where you pick muscle groups to work on one day before switching to another group of muscles the next while mixing in boring 30 minutes of cardio in between days.
I thought I was in great shape, but at the same time, I wasn’t progressing. I was stuck in the dreading plateau. I heard about CrossFit before but didn't know much about it.
One of my friends at the time was doing CrossFit, so I asked her to take me through a workout. We started, and after just a few minutes, I had to stop. I was shocked and how out of shape I actually was. I was hooked.
I started doing this style of training day after day and learning everything I could about it. After a few short weeks, I was dropping body fat, increasing my endurance, and, most importantly, my self-confidence was at an all-time high.
I couldn't believe I was working out wrong this whole time! I started training my clients this way, and sure enough, their results skyrocketed too. I got certified in CrossFit, and shortly after, I opened my own CrossFit Gym!
12 years later I am still open and getting my members and clients amazing results.
In 2020, the pandemic hit. My gym had to close, but I still needed to give my members workouts they could do from home. I realized this style of training is perfect for this. It doesn't require a ton of space or a lot of equipment.
So, I created Garage Movement—a membership of people working out from home with workouts, coaching, and community!
